Turkey and Egg Breakfast Skillet

Start your day with this delicious, protein-packed breakfast. This Turkey and Egg Breakfast Skillet, paired with sautéed kale or broccoli, is not just nutritious but also incredibly flavoursome. It’s the perfect blend of wholesomeness and taste to kickstart your morning.

Turkey and Egg Breakfast Skillet:

        1.      Lean Ground Turkey: 1/2 pound (225 grams)
        2.      Eggs: 2-3 large
        3.      Fresh Herbs (Thyme and Rosemary):   1 teaspoon each (about 5 ml each)
        4.      Salt and Pepper:  To taste
        5.      Fresh Parsley (for garnish): A small handful, chopped

Cooking Steps:

        1.      Cook the ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Season with thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
        2.      Move the turkey to one side of the skillet. Crack the eggs into the other side and cook them to your preference (scrambled or sunny-side up).
        3.      Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Side of Sautéed Kale:

        1.      Kale:   2 cups, chopped (about 150 grams) or broccoli is just as good
        2.      Olive Oil: 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
        3.      Garlic: 1 clove, minced
        4.      Lemon Juice:   2 tablespoons (30 ml)
        5.      Red Pepper Flakes:  A pinch

Directions

 Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Add the kale and cook until it’s wilted but still vibrant. Season with lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and additional salt if needed.
