Meno…..Pause The Power of The Breath

Stress can play havoc with your health during menopause so it’s really important to learn how to manage it. Something as simple as deep breathing is one of the best ways to lower stress in the body. This is because when you breathe deeply, it sends a message to your brain to calm down and relax. The brain then sends this message to your body.

Breathing exercises are a good way to relax, reduce tension, relieve stress and anxiety and even help with hot flushes. It was so interesting to talk to Sara Andrews who is a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor & Mindfulness Coach about how certain breathing techniques may help reduce menopausal anxiety, mood swings, irritability and even help with hot flushes.
